Well, guys. It’s been a long week, and I’m just getting this Friday Favorites posted, so forgive the late night edition! Hope everyone is doing well.
Favorite thing I read this week:
Guys, Live No Lies IS EXCELLENT. It’s so good I still haven’t finished it, I’ve been listening and relistening to parts. Basically here’s the gist: Does the devil tell you a lie? Fight back with the word jsut like Jesus did in the Garden Of Gethsemane. Comer recommends you make your own spiritual warefare book with the lies the devil tells you and God’s words in response. I’ve started doing it and WOW. Has it shifted the way I think about my thoughts. I think you guys will love it. Get it HERE!
Favorite thing I need to tell you about….
So I think I’ve told you about True Botanicals before, right? Well, for the last six months, my order has come with a tester of their Ginger Turmeric Cleansing Balm. A few weeks ago I noticed my skin just felt dry, and I sadly realized that maybe it was time to stop using my beloved Clinque Oily Skin wash that I’ve been using for decades and try something new. I fished out this cleansing balm from my samples and OH MY GOODNESS. I have gone through all six of the samples and I ordered it the other day. It’s a strange texture at first but it is a makeup remover and cleanser in one and once you get the hang of it, it leaves your skin so smooth and soft. Check it out HERE.
Favorite thing I did this week {I have two}:
This past weekend I was privileged to be asked to be apart of the prayer team for our Freedom Conference. Freedom Conference is a two day event that is cumulation of a 10 week Bible Study our church does on how to get free from things that stop you from experiencing Freedom in Christ. It is an amazing study and the conference is beautiful. Attendees get to hear testimonies from other’s who have been freed from addictions, pain, rejection, etc and then at the end everyone gets individually prayed for. It’s such a beautiful experience and I was so blessed to be able to pray with so many people and see their chains lifted. What an experience!!
Side note: Monday’s podcast is going to talk about small groups, please make sure to listen, I think it bless you and help you understand what the purpose is!
My second favorite thing was going on a walk with my friend, Laura. She lives in the cutest little area, surrounded by the sweetest neighbors and… CHICKENS! And a sweet cat named Flo! I need to know more about chickens…I think I need some!
Favorite thing I ate this week:
Ruth Soukup posted this recipe on IG and I tried it! AMAZING. You need it. Click HERE to get it.
Favorite newFavorite verse I read this week:
This verse was in this mornings version of The Daily Bible {have you gotten yours yet?}… but geez, did it pierce my soul. “They worshiped worthless idols, so they became worthless themselves.” I can tell you, I am a testimony of this. Put God first you guys. Everything else is worthless!
“But the Israelites would not listen. They were as stubborn as their ancestors who had refused to believe in the Lord their God. They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors, and they despised all his warnings. They worshiped worthless idols, so they became worthless themselves. They followed the example of the nations around them, disobeying the Lord’s command not to imitate them.” 2 Kings 17:14-15
Friends,
Thank you for being here again this Friday. It’s always so good to see you. God is for you. Don’t forget that. Hugs to you!
