It’s been an interesting few weeks over here.
I’ve been conquering a lot.
I tackled cleaning out the garage, something that was my ex-husband’s thing, and also something he did it very well. Because of this, cleaning out the garage is pretty intimidating to me. I usually leave it until we can’t get out of our cars or can’t find a clear path to take the garbage out.
Ok. Maybe I don’t let it get that bad….
But dust bunnies and trash and all the kids random things they dump after school pile up for sure. The garage was first on my summer to do list after I let the kids take the first week off to do whatever they wanted. And boy. Did they. Most nights I’d be woken up in the middle of the night while my kids were loudly talking, roughhousing or watching a movie at full blast. Many mornings I would walk into the kitchen to find their friends scattered across the floor, sound asleep. It was a mystery when they arrived. Like ships in the night they somehow got in the house without me noticing and made themselves comfortable before I locked the doors. That’s quite a feat. Good thing I love them all.
Anyway… conquering things.
So the garage was first on my list but - Covid. That took me down for a good 10 days, yet I refused to let it stop me…. Whew! I eventually that tackled and then I moved on to something I have been avoiding for nearly two years.
The gas BBQ grill in our backyard….
