Favorite thing I read this week:
I will never forget the first time I read Joni Eareckson Tada’s first book, simply called “Joni”. I was probably in 4th or 5th grade and I found the book in my classroom library. I was overcome by the idea of diving off a boat and breaking your neck. I lived on boats during the summers and her story would constantly be in the forefront of my mind as I would dive. But what was more fascinating to me than the breaking her neck part was her complete love and faith in God, even in such a terrible circumstance. I was spellbound by the idea of her being an artist using her mouth! It was just a beautiful story of resilience and ever since I was young, I valued such stories. Many years later I heard Joni had married and I have always been interested in how that was going. So naturally, when Joni and Ken popped up as one of my kindle unlimited options, I jumped on it. And I have not been disappointed. Such a beautiful story!
Jacob and I ….
Headed on a college tour this past week. We drove down the coast and checked out some of the UC and Cal States. It was fun and we learned a lot. Many of the following are things I found on my trip. I hope you enjoy them as much as me!
Favorite thing I continue to wear over and over….
PLEASE tell me you got my favorite jacket right? Mkay. Moving on. Me in the gum wall at San Luis Obispo
Also…
These shoes are literally THE MOST comfortable tennis shoe I’ve ever had. They are like pillows for your feet. I have worn them so much I probably need another pair. PS, they are men’s sizing so you will need to size one and half size down. I wear a size 8.5 tennis shoe in women’s and I am wearing a size 7.
Favorite hoodies I’m wearing all the time…
I made/make hoodies for a living, remember? So I was sucked in by the hoodie section at Target and couldn’t pass a few of them up. I took most of them on my trip and lived in them… you can shop them HERE.

Favorite thing I did this week:
Was walk around touring the coast with my son. I love being with him. It’s not often he wants to be with me, so this was special.😜

Favorite thing I ate this week:
Guys, have you ever had Turkish Delight? I know I have, but it’s been a very, very long time. As we were wandering the streets of Santa Barbara, I stumbled across this Turkish Delight store. I was so much fun and everything was not only beautiful, but delicious!

Favorite song I’ve been playing over and over HERE:
Anyone remember Fred Hammond?!?
Favorite verse I read this week:
Struggling with anxiety?
