Weekly Recap, A Prayer Request + A Quick Word of Encouragement
What's been going on around here this week
Hi! So glad you’re here! Here’s what you’ve missed:
On Monday we released Episode 42 of Glory Revealed Musings Podcast with Laura London. It was a beautiful conversation. I always love chatting with Laura, she is honest, vulnerable and funny…not to mention she has a beautiful glory revealed story. 🎧 to the podcast HERE.
Also on Monday Musings paid subscribers got a special treat from Laura…she is a Connections Code coach and works on helping people process their emotions. It’s a really neat process and if you are paid subscriber, you will get a core emotion wheel and a 30 minute video with Laura showing me how it works. I think you are going to LOVE this. You can find that HERE.
On Friday, I shared some Friday Favorites again. I’ve been doing a lot of lacrosse this week, so beware! My favorites are lacrosse forward! ha. You can read that HERE.
LOOKING AHEAD 👉🏻 Last week I was planning on episode 42 being with my friend Maria and telling her beautiful story, but as I went to upload the show, we had some technical difficulties so we had to pivot to Laura’s episode instead. We are still working on fixing Maria’s episode, so in the meantime we will release the next podcast we have. This Monday we will be joined by Lorna Wells, the wife of Christian Music performing artist Tauren Wells. She shares her journey of being a supportive wife while her husband leads a public career, as well as their step of faith as a family to launch a church. It’s really a special conversation and I know you guys are going to love it!
#dailybibleGRM - If you have been following along with my daily Bible reading from THIS BIBLE, then you know I often post pictures of me reading it in the morning. Many of you said you are doing it with me, and I LOVE that! I’m curious…could we start a movement? In the mornings when you read, take a pic and upload it into your story, adding the hashtag #dailybibleGRM and tag @gloryrevealedmusings. We’ll reshare your story, and hopefully more and more people will start reading their Bible everyday!
Will you help me pray about something?
“My marriage is falling apart, what do I do?
At least twice a month, maybe even once a week, I get a message or a call from a friend who's marriage is rocky. Some of them are on the verge of divorce. Others are just feeling scared and confused. All of them want advice. What do I do? Is often the first thing out of their mouth.
It occurred to me, after I had a long conversation with a friend earlier this week, that despite how much I want to move on from my marriage collapse and divorce and maybe even forget it happened, I do realize I have a lot of “what not to do’s” {and maybe even some do’s} to share.
I’ve been praying with my team about how to best use this information. If I am being called upon often to help women struggling in their marriage, how can I help them the most effectively? Furthermore, if I have information that has been God given, why should I not share this help other women?
I am pro marriage. I never want to see another family go through what I went through. Can all marriages be saved? Unfortunately, no. It takes two, and not all marriages have two willing parties. But, do I believe that if both parties surrender themselves to Jesus that their marriage can be saved? The answer is unequivocally, YES. I did not receive that miracle, but I do think miracles in marriages happen. And if I can help in some way, I would love that.
I would covet your prayers on how to do this. Will you join me in the next few weeks? And if you have any ideas on how I could use my experience to support you as a married man or woman, I’d love your thoughts in the comments!
Word of Encouragement:
One of my favorite verse that I say on repeat:
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:4
This is not a new verse to our Glory Revealed Community- I’ve shared it before, but it bears repeating. Struggling with something? Keep your mind on HIM. He will give you perfect peace.
I am praying for you all. Hugs. Happy Saturday!
