Hi Friends!
Does anyone else feel like the summer is flying by?
My kids go back to school in two and a half weeks and I feel shocked by that. I honestly have no idea where time went. Usually I like to get a bunch of stuff accomplished during the summer, but I don’t feel like any of my to do list got tackled which is so frustrating. With that said, I have been able to watch my kids grow up this summer… new jobs, traveling to visit friends, taking extracurricular courses at the junior college… it’s been super fun to see them spread their wings a little.
Personally, I feel like I am in a weird holding pattern.
It’s going on almost two years of my announcement of Evy’s Tree closure, and while I feel so very healthy and happy and at peace, I am still trying to figure out what’s next for me. There have been some family things that have kept me from diving full steam ahead, and while I’m so glad I was able to be present for those situations, I do have to be honest and say I get a little frustrated with the feeling of two steps forward and sometimes two steps back.
I don’t do well in a pause, I guess.😜
This has been such a funny season. A time where I have been blessed to be there for my kids and my loved ones… and really myself… and it’s been so healing to slow down after 15 years of go, go, go. I needed it. In the meantime, I have been doing some business consulting and then dabbling in a few things to see what sticks: Podcasting, blogging, designing, business plans for new businesses. None of these exploratory ideas have made much money, but that’s ok. My needs have been met and it’s been enough. I really only have three more years with my kids at home, and my focus isn’t money right now. It’s being present for them and working on the long game - figuring out something that I love that can provide for me after some ground building and a little elbow grease. In a sense this is what starting over looks like, and I’m so glad I get to do it.
I’m grateful.
Ok, so the podcast. In June I attempted to complete 15 consecutive days of podcasting and I definitely didn’t make that happen. I had terrible technical difficulties…which is code word for: podcasting isn’t as easy as it looks. ha. Once I got those things ironed out, I contracted COVID and boy was I out for a couple weeks. So I didn’t accomplish that 15 consecutive days goal well.
One thing I’ve been learning lately is that if I don’t succeed the first time, try, try again.
So I’m proud to announce that I have decided to attempt 15 days of podcasting again. I might not do it perfectly, but I can do better than I did last time, and that’s a win in my book.
So welcome to Glory Revealed Musings Podcast Season 2!
You can find it anywhere you listen to podcasting, or you can follow our Spotify channel HERE.
This season, only paid subscribers will be able to see the video content.
Which means that every day for the next 15 days, if you are a paid subscriber, you’ll get all the video launched directly your email. Easy peasy!
This season I have some GREAT interviews lined up. You’re going to meet some of my close friends who have gone through some tough stuff and and are still standing…sharing how glory was revealed in their lives through suffering. Furthermore, you’ll get to hear some one on one convos straight from me…talking about some of the most intimate things I’m learning while walking through my own glory revealed journey.
I hope that all these podcasts are helpful and encouraging to you.
Important: the goal isn’t to bring attention to myself, but to shine light on how you can make it and that God uses all things for good. It’s my joy to share my story and the story of others who are making it too. We are in this together!
Season 2 is being released daily this week, so watch for a new episode daily, for 15 days, Lord willing!
Can’t wait to hear what you think! So much love and hugs to you all! Amy xo
