On Monday we released Episode 42 of Glory Revealed Musings Podcast with Lorna Wells. WOW. What an incredible episode! Lorna shares her beautiful story of motherhood and navigating Christian Music fame, which was an amazing conversation. LOOKING AHEAD 👉🏻 Guys, I’m so excited about this coming week’s podcast. One of the things that absolutely SAVED me when my life fell apart was getting myself into community. I joined small groups at my church and it created a group of people who could walk beside me while I was trying to change. On Monday we are going to chat with my good friend, Mikey Ruiz… we are going to talk about small groups and how they have changed my life as well as so many other lives. Yesterday I shared this verse in Friday Favorites:
“But the Israelites would not listen. They were as stubborn as their ancestors who had refused to believe in the Lord their God. They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors, and they despised all his warnings. They worshiped worthless idols, so they became worthless themselves. They followed the example of the nations around them, disobeying the Lord’s command not to imitate them.” 2 Kings 17:14-15
…And I cannot stop thinking about it. As you guys know, I sought “worthless idols” over the years - money, success and all the things - but here I am left with nothing. It was all worthless for sure, and I felt so worthless at the end. But yet, God in His grace and mercy picked me up and redeemed me and gave me a new life! So what does one seek for now?
Here is the counter verse to the above:
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33
Seek God first, my friends. And all those things you need {not want🤪}? They will be given to you! What a much better trade off than worthless things!
